Jurisprudence 6/2021 Section: Articles Page: 41-46

Keywords: Voucher, trip, pandemic covid-19, act No. 185/2020, Directive (EU) 2015/2302

Abstract: The paper deals with travel vouchers issued by the organizers (travel agencies) during the covid-19 pandemic and tries to offer a critical perspective on the application of Act No. 185/2020. It deals with the information obligation under to the provisions of Section 9 of the lex voucher. The article deals also with vouchers that have been issued by the organizer (travel agency) in violation of legal regulations. The issue addressed is the possibility of rejecting the voucher for reasons specified in the law for the customer - the contractor and the customer - the beneficiary. The article concludes with a proposal de lege ferenda, which offers a possible solution for customer (consumer) protection in the form of limitation of advances that the organizers receive at the time of negotiating the contract.
