Abstract: This paper is a brief reflection on the topic of mutual interaction between legal science and public prosecutors. This reflection is carried out in the introduction on the basis of three functions of the university. The development of legal thinking and work with information sources among law faculty students is considered essential. The academic sphere can provide the public prosecutor's office with high-quality feedback on its activities and can make complex legal topics accessible to the public. Cases where the academic sphere and the public prosecutor's office manage to connect and cooperate on some research projects are considered as very positive. The interweaving of legal professionals in legal practice, academia and legislative activities is also mentioned.
