Abstract: The article discusses current issues related to the legal force of regulations, as well as issues closely related to legal force. A special section is devoted to the issue of uniform dates of legal force, introduced into the legal system of the Czech Republic as of 31 December 2019, including an analysis of several inconsistencies in this legal regulation. It also contains a brief quantitative analysis of how much the regulation of uniform dates of legal force is actually respected in practice, from which it follows that the functionality of uniform dates of legal force is very limited.
