Abstract: The article reflects on the relationship between legal science and legal practice. It identifies areas where legal scholarship can benefit legal practice and suggests methods in which the results of legal scholarship can be communicated to practitioners in ways that are useful to their work. At its core is a call for the clarity of the work of legal scholars and for the use of all avenues for communicating that work to practice, including the use of modern modes of communication. The author concludes that even though legal scholarship and practice are to some extent two worlds, they should seek and find ways to work together towards a common goal - the functioning of the rule of law in the Czech Republic.
